Özet

Sığırlar eşeysel üreme özelliğine sahip hayvan türüdür. Sığırlarda dişi ve erkek bireyler belirli bir dönemden sonra eşey hücresi olan spermatozoit ve yumurta üretirler. Sığırlarda üreme dişi ve erkek sığırlarda üreme olmak üzere iki başlık altında değerlendirilmiştir. Dişi sığırlarda Eşeysel olgunluk ve damızlıkta kullanılma çağı, İlkine buzağılama ve buzağılama aralığı, Servis periyodu, Gebe Kalma Oranı ile Toplam Gebelik oranı, Buzağılama oranı, Üreme Etkinliği, Eşeysel etkinlik, Kızgınlık periyodu veya iki kızgınlık arası süre, Gebelik başına tohumlama sayısı, Kızgınlık, Kızgınlık Süresi ve kızgınlık döngüsü, Kızgınlık Döngüsünün Aşamaları, Kızgınlık belirtileri, Kızgınlık tespiti, yumurtlama, Tohumlama (Çiftleşme), Suni (Yapay) tohumlama, boğaya ile çiftleştirme, en Uygun tohumlama zamanı, Gebelik, Gebelik tanısı, Rektal Palpasyon, Ultrason ile gebelik tayini, Doğuma hazırlık, Doğum, Plasentanın zarının atılması, Doğum sonrası yapılacak işlemler, Buzağılara kolostrum (ağız sütü) içirilmesi, Laktasyon ve Erkekler Sığırlarda; Eşeysel olgunluk ve damızlık çağı, Sperma verimi ve özellikleri gibi başlıklar altında incelenmiştir.

Cattle are sexually reproductive animals. In cattle, both females and males produce gametes (spermatozoa and ova) after reaching a certain developmental stage. Reproduction in cattle is categorized into two main sections: female and male reproduction. For female cattle, topics include sexual maturity or puberty age and the age of use for breeding, first calving and calving interval, service period, conception rate, total pregnancy rate, calving rate, reproductive efficiency, sexual activity, estrous period or interval between two estrous cycles, insemination per pregnancy, estrus, estrus period and estrus cycle, stages of the estrous cycle, signs of estrus, estrus detection, ovulation, mating (natural insemination), artificial insemination, bull mating, optimal insemination timing, pregnancy, pregnancy diagnosis, rectal palpation, pregnancy detection via ultrasound, birth preparation, parturition, expulsion of the placenta, post-partum management, colostrum feeding to calves, lactation, and other reproductive-related management practices. For male cattle, topics such as sexual maturity, age of use for breeding, semen production, and semen characteristics are discussed.
