Farkındalık (Mindfulness) Temelli Stres Azaltma Programının Hemşirelik Araştırmalarındaki Yeri
Özet
Farkındalık, sabır, kabullenme ve bırakma gibi duyguları teşvik ederek, şimdiki anın yargısız kabulünü içermektedir. Tarihsel olarak Budist uygulamalara dayanan Farkındalık temelli Stres Azaltma Programı, Jon Kabat-Zinn tarafından 1970'lerin sonlarında Massachusetts Üniversitesi'nde resmileştirilmiştir. Program grup seansları, meditasyon, yoga ve günlük farkındalık uygulamalarını içermektedir. Günümüzde hemşirelik araştırmalarında sıklıkla kullanılmaktadır. Çalışma sonuçlarına göre uyku kalitesini ve bilişsel performansı iyileştirirken kaygıyı, depresyonu, stresi ve ağrıyı azalttığı bulunmuştur. Özellikle stresle ilişkili durumların yönetilmesi ve ruhsal iyilik halinin artırılmasında hem sağlık profesyonellerine hem de bireylere oldukça fayda sağlamaktadır.
It encompasses the non-judgmental acceptance of the present moment by promoting emotions such as mindfulness, patience, acceptance, and letting go. The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program, historically rooted in Buddhist practices, was formalized by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts in the late 1970s. The program includes group sessions, meditation, yoga, and daily mindfulness practices. It is frequently used in nursing research today. According to study results, it has been found to improve sleep quality and cognitive performance while reducing anxiety, depression, stress, and pain. It provides significant benefits to both healthcare professionals and individuals, particularly in managing stress-related conditions and enhancing mental well-being.
