Arı Sütü ve Apilarnil
Özet
Yüzyıllardır farklı medeniyetler tarafından çeşitli hastalıkların tedavisinde kullanılan bal, propolis, arı sütü, arı poleni, balmumu ve arı zehiri gibi biyoaktif bileşen içeren ürünler arılar tarafından üretilmektedir. Arı sütü, beslenme ve farmasötik amaçlar için yüzyıllardır kullanılan değerli bir arı ürünüdür. Çeşitli çalışmalarda arı sütünün bakteri, mantar ve virüslere karşı antimikrobiyal aktiviteleri rapor edilirken, hayvanlar üzerinde yapılan birçok araştırmada hipotansif, antitümör, antihiperkolesterolemik ve anti-inflamatuar aktiviteleri olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Şu anda ilaç ve kozmetik alanları yanında fonksiyonel/takviye edici gıda olarak adlandırılan ürünler arasında yer almaktadır. Apilarnil olarak adlandırılan erkek arı larvası, kimyasal kompozisyonu açısından arı sütüne benzerlik gösteren biyoaktif bir diğer arı ürünüdür. Apilarnil, insan sağlığı açısından çok değerli besinler içermesi ve sahip olduğu kompozisyon nedeniyle vücut direncini artırıcı, hücre yenilenmesi, fertilizasyon ve nörodejeneratif rahatsızlıkların tedavisi gibi çoğu sağlık sorunlarında gerek proflaktik gerekse tıbbi açıdan olumlu faydaları bulunan bir bileşendir.
