Polen

Özet

Ülkemiz, deniz seviyesinden başlayıp yüksek kesimlere kadar uzanan coğrafyada çok değişken iklimsel özellikleri sayesinde zengin bitki örtüsüne sahiptir. Bu da arıcılık yapmak için oldukça elverişli bir ortam sağlamaktadır. Arılar, genellikle yüksek yaylalardan çayır ve meralara, ormanlardan bağ bahçe alanlarına kadar pek çok yerden sadece bal değil aynı zamanda polen başta olmak üzere birçok arı ürünü üretmektedir. Polen, kovana bal getiren işçi arılar tarafından çiçeğin stamenlerinden toplanmakta, nektar veya bal ile nemlendirilerek kovana taşınmaktadır. Bu bölümde arılar tarafından toplanarak yavru bakımında çok büyük besin değerine sahip olan arı poleni hakkında genel bilgiler ve sağlık üzerindeki etkileri güncel literatür çalışmaları incelenerek derlenmiştir.
