Sınıf III Maloküzyon Tedavilerinde Şeffaf Plakların Yeri

Özet

Sınıf III maloklüzyon, Angle’a göre alt molar dişin üst molar dişten daha mesialde konumlanması, alt çenenin protrüze olması, alt anterior dişlerin linguale inklinasyonudur. Sınıf III maloklüzyona sahip bireylerde tedavi yaklaşımları maloklüzyonun köken aldığı çeneye, etiyolojisine, şiddetine ve bireyin büyüme gelişim dönemine bağlı olarak farklılık göstermektedir. 
Son yıllarda popülerliği artan şeffaf plak tedavileri, basit-orta dereceli çapraşıklık vakalarından kompleks maloklüzyonlara kadar kullanılabildiği bildirilen güncel bir tedavi yöntemidir. Sınıf III maloklüzyonlarda da uygulama alanı bulan şeffaf plaklar, çeşitli avantaj ve dezavantajlara sahiptir.
Bu bölümün amacı, sınıf III maloklüzyonlarda uygulanan tedavi yöntemlerini güncel bir bakış açısıyla sunmak, güncel bir yöntem olan şeffaf plak tedavilerinin sınıf III maloklüzyon tedavilerindeki uygulama alanlarının incelenmesidir.

According to Angle, Class III malocclusion is the positioning of the lower molar tooth more mesially than the upper molar tooth, protrusion of the lower jaw, and lingual inclination of the lower anterior teeth. Treatment approaches in individuals with Class III malocclusion vary depending on the jaw where the malocclusion originates, its etiology, severity, and the individual's growth and development period.
In recent years, clear aligner treatments, which have become increasingly popular, are a current treatment method that can be used from simple-moderate crowding cases to complex malocclusions. Clear aligners, which are also used in Class III malocclusions, have various advantages and disadvantages.
The purpose of this section is to present the treatment methods applied in Class III malocclusions from a current perspective and to examine the application areas of clear aligner treatments, which are a current method, in Class III malocclusion treatments.
