Romatoid Artrit Tanılı Geriatrik Hastalarda Hemşirelik Bakımı

Özet

Romatoid artrit hastalığı, etiyolojisi net olarak bilinemeyen, eklemleri ve eklem dışında sistemleri etkileyebilen ve geriatrik bireylerde sıklıkla görülen bir hastalıktır. Yaşlanma sonucunda, kas iskelet sisteminde bozulmalar meydana gelebildiği için geriatrik bireylerde, romatoid artrit hastalığının görülme oranı artmaktadır. Bu sebeple, bu hastalara özel bir bakım sağlanması gerekebilmektedir. Hemşireler, hasta bakımı konusunda aktif bir rol oynamaktadırlar. Bu hastaların bakımında dikkat edilmesi gereken bazı konular bulunmaktadır. Bu konular şunlardır: Düşme risklerinin azaltılması, beslenme ve egzersiz programlarının düzenlenmesi, ağrı düzeylerinin azaltılması, tütün ile alkol kullanımlarının engellenmesi gibi. Bu hususlara dikkat edildiğinde, bu hastaların yaşam kaliteleri yükselebilecektir.

Rheumatoid arthritis is a disease whose etiology is unknown, which can affect joints and extra-articular systems and is frequently seen in geriatric individuals. As deteriorations in the musculoskeletal system may occur as a result of aging, the incidence of rheumatoid arthritis increases in geriatric individuals. For this reason, these patients may need to be provided with special care. Nurses play an active role in patient care. There are some issues that need to be considered in the care of these patients. These issues include: reducing the risk of falling, arranging nutrition and exercise programs, reducing pain levels, and preventing tobacco and alcohol use. When these issues are taken into consideration, the quality of life of these patients may increase.
