Ortopedi Alanında Kullanılan İstatistiksel Yöntemler
Özet
Uzman doktorlar tarafından temel istatistiksel terimlerin kavranması ve kendi uzmanlık alanlarında sıklıkla kullanılan istatistiksel yöntemlerin neler olduğuna ilişkin bilgi sahibi olunması, bir araştırma makalesini anlamada, bulguları doğru yorumlamada büyük önem taşımaktadır. Literatürde Student’s t testi, Ki-Kare Testi, Mann-Whitney U Testi, ANOVA ve Fisher’s Exact Testi, Lojistik Regresyon Yöntemi, Korelasyon Katsayısı, Cox Regresyon, Kruskal-Wallis Testi ve Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test, ortopedide sıklıkla uygulanan istatistiksel yöntemler olarak sıralanmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, istatistik bilimindeki temel kavramları kısaca açıklamak ve ortopedide sıklıkla kullanılan istatistiksel yöntemleri örneklerle birlikte okuyucuya kavratmaktır.
It is of great importance for specialist doctors to understand basic statistical terms and to have knowledge of the statistical methods that are more frequently used in their field of expertise in understanding a research article and correctly interpreting the findings. Student's t test, Chi-Square Test, Mann-Whitney U Test, ANOVA and Fisher's Exact Test, Logistic Regression Method, Correlation Coefficient, Cox Regression, Kruskal-Wallis Test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test are listed as the most frequently applied statistical methods in the field of orthopedics. The aim of this study is to briefly explain the basic concepts in statistics and to clarify the statistical methods commonly employed in orthopedics via relevant examples.
