Ebelik Uygulamalarında Liderlik
Özet
Ebeler, kadın merkezli bakım veren, kadınla ortak ve gerektiğinde diğer sağlık çalışanları ile işbirliği içinde çalışan sağlık profesyonelleridir. Rolleri, sorumlulukları ve hesap verebilirlikleri gebelik, doğum ve doğum sonrası dönemde kadınlara verilen bakımın kalitesini ve güvenliğini sağlamak olsa da, ebelerin rollerinin temel yönleri olarak liderlik ve yönetim becerilerini de geliştirmesi gerekmektedir. Doğum hizmetleri için liderlik, anneler, bebekler ve aileler için optimum güvenlik düşünüldüğünde kritik bir faktördür. Lider ebeler klinik sorunları anlamak, kanıta dayalı çözümler geliştirmek ve verimsizlikleri azaltarak maliyet tasarruflarını etkileyen değişimi uygulamak için araştırma becerilerini ve analitik düşünceyi kullanarak multidisipliner ve profesyoneller arası ekiplerle çalışmak zorundadır. Klinik ebe liderleri aynı zamanda politika geliştirmeye katılarak ve disiplinler arası ekibin diğer üyeleriyle işbirliği yaparak disiplinlerine söz hakkı verir. Lider ebelik doğum hizmetlerinde sürekli iyileştirme sürecini destekler ve daha da önemlisi, anne ve bebek sağlığının iyileştirilmesi için potansiyeli yükseltmekle kalmaz, aynı zamanda toplum sağlığının gelişmesine de katkı sağlamaktadır. Bu bölümde ebelik uygulamalarında liderlik konusu ele alınmıştır.
