İklim Değişikliği ve İklim Değişikliğine İlişkin Politikaların Sağlığa Yansımaları
Özet
İklim değişikliği gibi sadece ülkeleri, değişik coğrafi bölgeleri, belirli canlı türlerini değil tüm gezegeni farklı boyutlarıyla etkileyen bir küresel olgunun, özellikle sağlığa dönük etkilerinin incelenmesi açısından sağlık bilimleri alanından henüz hak ettiği ilgiyi gördüğünü söylemek pek de mümkün değildir. Her ne kadar başta Dünya Sağlık Örgütü (DSÖ) olmak üzere birtakım uluslararası organizasyonlar bu başlıktaki çabaların artmasına dönük cesaretlendirici adımlar atmaktalarsa da içinde devinilen yerel ve bölgesel politik ve ekonomik kriz durumlarının da etkileriyle, profesyonel disiplinlerin ve ilgili profesyonellerin konuya hala yeterince ilgi gösteremedikleri iddia edilebilir. Bu kitap bölümünde, sağlık alanına ayak basarak iklim değişikliğine ilişkin politikaların ele alınmasında dikkat edilecek hususlara odaklanmak amaçlanmaktadır.
