Fiziksel ve Kimyasal Etkenlere Bağlı Oral Reaksiyonlar
Özet
Oral mukoza ağız içini döşeyen çok katlı yassı epitel ve altındaki bağ dokusundan oluşmuş nemli örtüdür. Muayenesi çeşitli hastalıkların teşhisi için ipuçları verir. Alttaki dokuları mekanik travmalardan, zararlı maddelerden ve mikroorganizmaların girişinden korur. Epitel bazı yerlerde keratinizasyon veya parakeratinizasyon gösterir. Aşınan yüzeyi sürekli mitozlarla yenilenir. Kısmi geçirgenliğe sahip bariyer işlevi vardır. Oral kavitede kimyasal, fiziksel, termal travmatik lezyonlara sıkça rastlanmaktadır. Lezyonların şiddeti ve yaygınlığı, maddenin tipi, gücü (ph), konsantrasyonu, alınan miktar, maruziyet süresine, dokuya penetrasyon ve etki mekanizmasına bağlıdır. Bu bölümde oral fibromatozis, morsicatio buccarum, travmatik ülserler ve diş eti hiperplazisi gibi reaksiyonlar ele alınacaktır.
