Periodontal ve Dental Hastalıklar
Özet
Sistemik olarak görülen çoğu hastalığın oral kavitede lezyon oluşturduğu gözlenmiştir. Fakat bu hastalıkların dışında oral kaviteyi sadece oral kaviteyi etkileyen dişetinin periodontitis denilen kendi enfeksiyonu gelişebilmektedir. Periodontitis, periodonsiyumun bir enfeksiyonudur. Dişin çevre dokularını etkileyerek dişlerin kaybıyla sonuçlanan ve toplumda oldukça yaygın olarak görülen bir enfeksiyöz hastalıktır. Hastalığın tanınması, teşhisi ve tedavisi oldukça basit olmakla birlikte toplumun bilinçlendirilmesi ve doğru alışkanlıkların kazandırılması hastalığı önlemede özellikle önemlidir.
It has been observed that most systemic diseases cause lesions in the oral cavity. However, apart from these diseases, an infection of the gingiva called periodontitis may develop that affects only the oral cavity. Periodontitis is an infection of the periodontium. It is an infectious disease that affects the surrounding tissues of the tooth, resulting in tooth loss, and is very common in society. Although recognition, diagnosis and treatment of the disease are quite simple, raising public awareness and gaining the right habits are especially important in preventing the disease.
