Günübirlik Cerrahi Hastasında Bakım

Özet

Hastanın cerrahi girişim için aynı gün hastaneye yatırılması ve taburcu edilmesini tanımlayan günübirlik cerrahi, günümüzde yetişkin ve pediatrik cerrahilerin çoğunda uygulanmaktadır. Günübirlik cerrahi hastaları aynı gün taburcu edildiği için bakımın odak noktası hastanede bakımdan evde bakıma doğru yer değiştirmiştir. Sağlık profesyonelleri günübirlik cerrahinin küçük bir cerrahi girişim olmadığını, iyileşme süresinin uzun sürebileceğini ve bu sürede hastaların desteğe ihtiyacı olduğunu bilmelidir. Bu süreçte hastalar ve yakınlarının kısa sürede çok şey öğrenmek zorunda kaldığı bilinmeli, hastalar ile yakınlarının günübirlik cerrahi ve sonrasındaki bakıma iyi hazırlanması için öğrenme ihtiyaçlarına odaklı multidisipliner bilgilendirme ve eğitime gereksinim olduğu unutulmamalıdır.

Day surgery, which defines the same-day hospitalization and discharge of a patient for a surgical procedure, is now practiced in most adult and pediatric surgeries. Since day surgery patients are discharged on the same day, the focus of care has shifted from hospital care to home care. Healthcare professionals should be aware that day surgery is not a minor surgery, the recovery period can be long, and patients need support during this period. In this process, it should be known that patients and their relatives must learn a lot in a short time, and it should be kept in mind that multidisciplinary information and education focused on learning needs are needed to prepare patients and their relatives well for the day surgery and the care afterward.
