Ostomili Hastada Bakım
Özet
Ostomi, çeşitli gastrointestinal hastalıklar nedeniyle açılmaktadır. Ostomi açıldıktan sonra hastaların beden imajı değişmekte ve benlik saygıları etkilenmektedir. Bu nedenle hastalar sosyal uyum sorunları yaşamakta ve yaşam kalitesi kötüleşmektedir. Ostomili hastaların yaşam kalitesini iyileştirmek için kapsamlı ve bireyselleştirilmiş bakım verilmesi gereklidir. Ostomi hemşiresi tarafından danışmanlık yapılan ve yeterli düzeyde ostomi bakımı alan hastalarda ostomi komplikasyonları daha az görülmekte, tekrarlı hastane yatışları azalmakta ve klinik sonuçlar iyileşmektedir. Bu nedenle, ostomi hemşirelerinin ameliyat öncesi ve sonrası bakım kılavuzlarına uygun, bu hastalara özgü kapsamlı ve kişiselleştirilmiş bakım vermesi önemlidir. Bakım kılavuzları oluşturulurken hastaların eğitim gereksinimleri karşılanmalı ve hastalara duygusal destek sağlanmalıdır. Ostomi bakım kılavuzları, kanıta dayalı olarak geliştirilmeli ve hemşirelere rehberlik edecek şekilde tasarlanmalıdır. Bu kılavuzlar, hemşireler tarafından kliniklerde rahat bir şekilde kullanılmalıdır. Kılavuzlara uygun bakım verilen ostomili hastaların ise ostomi uyum süreçleri daha hızlı olmaktadır.
Ostomy is performed for various gastrointestinal diseases. After ostomy, the body image of the patients changes and their self-esteem is affected. Therefore, patients experience social adaptation problems and quality of life deteriorates. Comprehensive and individualized care is necessary to improve the quality of life of patients with ostomy. Patients who are counselled by ostomy nurses and receive adequate ostomy care have fewer ostomy complications, fewer repeated hospitalizations and improved clinical outcomes. Therefore, it is important that ostomy nurses provide comprehensive and personalized care specific to these patients in accordance with preoperative and postoperative care guidelines. While establishing care guidelines, patients' educational needs should be met and emotional support should be provided to patients. Ostomy care guidelines should be developed based on evidence and designed to guide nurses. These guidelines should be used comfortably by nurses in clinics. Patients with ostomy who receive care in accordance with the guidelines have faster ostomy adaptation processes.
