In recent years, the focus of many different fields in surgery has been on reducing preventable complications. For this purpose, care bundles consisting of a series of interventions have begun to be used. All components included in the care bundles must be evidence-based, and teamwork and communication are important for the effective implementation of the care bundles. It is stated that there is a significant decrease in the incidence of infection development in patients undergoing surgical intervention with the application of the surgical care bundles.
