İklim Değişıkliğinin Kadın, Fetüs/Yenidoğan Sağlığına Etkileri ve Kadın Sağlığı Hemşirelerının Rol ve Sorumlulukları

Özet

Küresel iklim değişikliği, modern çağın en kritik çevre sorunlarından biri olarak, atmosferdeki sera gazlarının artmasıyla gelişen, insan faaliyetlerinin doğal ekosistemler üzerindeki olumsuz etkisini yansıtan, karmaşık bir yapı olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Temiz hava, güvenli içme suyu, gıda temini ve güvenli barınma gibi sağlığın temel bileşenlerine ulaşım zorlaşmakta ya da sınırlı olmaktadır. İklim  değişiklikleri nedeni ile gerçekleşen bu afetler gebe kadınlar başta olmak üzere yaşlılar, çocuklar  ve engelliler için   daha fazla risk oluşturmaktadır.  
İklim değişikliğinin insan sağlığı üzerindeki zararlarının ve etkilerinin nasıl en aza indirileceğini ve risklerin nasıl azaltılabileceğikonusunda yapılacak müdahaleler insanların mevcut durumu  anlamalarına yardımcı olurkengelecek nesillere verilen zararın azaltılmasına katkıda bulunacaktır. Bu bağlamda perinatal ve neonatal, alanlarında çalışan hemşireler; işbirliği,  eğitim, danışmanlık, bakım ve yönetim  rolleri ile büyük öneme sahiptir. Bu bölümde; iklim değişikliğinin genelde sağlığa, özelde ise; kadın, fetüs ve yenidoğan sağlığına etkisi ile  kadın sağlığı hemşirelerinin  iklim değişikliği sorunlarının çözümünde rolleri ve önemi güncel kaynaklar ışığında ele alınarak  tartışılmıştır.
