İnfertilite Hemşireliği
Özet
Dünya Sağlık Örgütü (DSÖ), fertilite bakımı hizmetleri de dahil olmak üzere aile planlamasına yönelik yüksek kaliteli hizmetlerin sağlanmasının üreme sağlığının temel unsurlarından biri olduğunu kabul etmektedir. İnfertilite, cinsel sağlık, üreme sağlığı ve haklarının önemli bir bileşenidir. İnfertilite, çocuk isteyen çiftlerde, en az 12 ay süreyle düzenli ve korunmasız cinsel ilişkiye rağmen klinik gebelik elde edilememesi olarak tanımlanan, erkek veya kadın üreme sistemi hastalığıdır.DSÖ, infertilite prevalansının giderek arttığını,bireylerin yaşam kalitesini ve psikolojik durumunu olumsuz yönde etkilediğini veönemli bir küresel sağlık sorunu olduğunu belirtmiştir. Dünyada infertil birey sayısının 42-180 milyon arasında değiştiği tahmin edilmektedir.Ülkemizde de 25-49 yaş arası hiç doğum yapmayan kadın oranı %14,7 olarak saptanmıştır. Fertilite bakımı ve infertilite hemşireliğinin ayrıntılı bir şekilde tanımlanması amacıyla yazılan bölüm; fertiliteyi etkileyen faktörler, infertilitenin nedenleri, değerlendirilmesi, tedavisi, yasal durum, tedavi komplikasyonları ve hemşirelik bakımı başlıkları altında toplanmıştır.
