Lojistik Modlara Genel Bir Bakış
Özet
Lojistik sektörü, ekonomik ve toplumsal sistemlerde gittikçe daha fazla önem kazanmaktadır. Ekonomik kalkınma ile lojistik alanındaki gelişme arasında pozitif bir ilişki vardır. Sektörün hızlı gelişimi, ülke ekonomisinin sağlıklı ve düzenli gelişmesinin temel garantisidir. Sanayileşme, kentleşme ve ekonomik büyüme gibi hızla değişen küresel ortamda lojistik verimlilik çok önemli bir küresel konu olarak kabul edilmektedir. Uluslararası ticaretin yapılmasında lojistik verimliliğinin rolü, yük taşımacılığından ödeme sistemlerine kadar karı maksimize eden faaliyetlerin uygulanmasını içerir. Lojistik modlar, kaynak kullanımını optimize edip, envanter maliyetlerini en aza indirerek ve hizmet seviyelerini en üst düzeye çıkararak tedarik zinciri boyunca değer yaratmayı yönlendirmede kritik bir rol oynar. Etkin taşımacılık yönetimi sayesinde işletmeler operasyonlarını kolaylaştırabilir, teslim sürelerini azaltabilir, operasyonel verimliliği optimize edebilirler, böylelikle, değeri ve karlılığı artırabilirler. Lojistik modlar, ulaşım rotalarının, dağıtım merkezlerinin ve söz konusu lojistik moduna özel altyapı yatırımlarının seçimi de dahil olmak üzere tedarik zinciri ağlarının tasarımı ve konfigürasyonuna ilişkin kararların tamamını etkiler. Lojistik modlarının esneklik, kapasite, hız, güvenilirlik ve sürdürülebilirlik gibi temel özellikleri, lojistik işletmelerindeki karar alma süreçlerini etkiler. Tesis konumu, ağ tasarımı ve dış kaynak kullanımı stratejileri gibi stratejik kararlar, tedarik zincirinin genel yönünü ve yeteneklerini şekillendirir. Taşıma modu seçimi, envanter yönetimi ve tedarikçi işbirliğini içeren taktiksel kararlar, operasyonel verimliliği ve yanıt verme hızını optimize eder. Siparişin karşılanması, rota optimizasyonu ve teknolojinin benimsenmesi gibi operasyonel kararlar, lojistik operasyonlarının günlük bazda kusursuz bir şekilde yürütülmesini sağlar.
Bu bölümde kara, deniz, hava ve intermodal taşımacılık modlarının temel özellikleri incelenmiş, bunların güçlü yönleri, uygulamaları ve dikkate alınması gereken başlıkları vurgulanmıştır. Ayrıca bu bölümde taşımacılık modlarıyla birlikte, lojistik modların ve konumun karar vermedeki etkisi üzerinde durulmuştur.
