Bakteri Genetiği
Özet
Tek hücreli mikroorganizma gruplarından olan bakteriler, prokaryotik hücre yapısına sahip olmaları, laboratuvar ortamında kolay üretilmeleri ve deneysel aşamaların diğer canlılara göre genellikle daha kolay olması bakımından moleküler biyolojide önemli model organizmalar olarak kullanılmaktadırlar. Dünyanın hemen hemen her yerinde yaşama uyum sağlamış olan bakteriler, gen transferleri ve metabolik süreçlerini düzenleyebilmeleri sayesinde bu uyumlarını gösterebilmektedirler. “Bakteri Genetiği” bölümünde, bakterilerin genetik yapılarını nasıl şekillendirdiklerinden, gen aktarım yöntemlerine ve metabolik süreçlerin düzenlenmesine kadar olan birçok mekanizma örnekleri ile sunulmuştur.
