Özet

Kronik hastalığı olan kadınlar; var olan hastalığını önemsememe, bilgi eksikliği, sağlık profesyonellerinin verdiği bilgileri yanlış anlama, infertil olduğunu inanma, gebeliği önleyici yöntem kullanmasına gerek kalmadığını düşünme ve kontraseptiflerle ilaç etkileşimlerin olması gibi nedenlerle gebeliği önleyici yöntemleri bırakabilmekte ya da uygun olmayan yöntemleri kullanmayı tercih edebilmektedir. Bu tür durumlar kronik hastalığı olan kadınların istemeden gebe kalmasıyla sonuçlanabilmektedir. Kronik hastalığı olan kadınlarda istenmeyen gebeliğin oluşması halinde, hastalıkla ilgili semptomlar kötüleşebilmekte, kullanılan ilaçların dozlarında ve içeriğinde değişikliklere gidilebilmekte, maternal ve fetal olumsuz sağlık sonuçlarıyla karşılaşılabilmektedir. Bu bölümünde; sık görülen kronik hastalık varlığında kadınların kullanabilecekleri kontraseptif yöntemlerden ve buna uygun yapılacak danışmanlıktan bahsedilecektir.
