Acil Kontraseptif Yöntemler
Özet
İstenmeyen gebelikler, bireysel ve sosyal anlamda önemli bir üreme ve toplum sağlığı problemidir. İstenmeyen gebelikleri önlemek için kullanılan acil kontraseptif yöntemler ilk 5 gün içinde kullanılması durumunda yaklaşık %95 oranında gebeliği önler. Acil kontraseptif yöntem olarak günümüzde Levonorgestrel (LNG), Ulipristal Asetat (UPA), Etinil Estradiol ile Levonorgestrel (EE+LNG), Mifepriston ve Bakır İçeren İntrauterin Araç (Cu-T 380A) kullanılmaktadır. Çiftlerin aile planlaması yöntemleri konusundaki bilgi düzeylerinin artması ve korunmasız cinsel ilişkiden sonra acil kontraseptif metotların daha yaygın kullanımı ile istenmeyen gebelikler önlenebilir ve istemli düşük oranları azalabilir. Bu nedenle sağlık profesyonellerinin acil kontraseptifler yöntemler konusunda bilgi düzeylerinin arttırılması önemlidir.
