İnsan Embriyolarında Genom Düzenleme Araştırmalarıyla İlgili Etik Sorunlar
Özet
Genom düzenleme organizmanın DNA’sında değişiklik yapma imkanı veren bir grup teknoloji olarak tanımlanabilir. Klinik germline genom düzenlemesini (GGD) şu anda mevcut yöntemlere göre potansiyel avantajları sınırlı olsa da GGD’nin klinikte uygulanması önerilmiş ve tartışılmıştır. Bu tarz bir uygulamayla ilgili etik konular ayrıntılı şekilde tartışılmıştır. Bu arada GGD’nin potansiyel klinik uygulamalarının değerlendirilmesi için yapılması gerekli çalışmaların etik sonuçlarına çok fazla ilgi gösterilmemiştir. Bu yazımızda GGD’nin potansiyel klinik kullanımları hakkındaki tartışmaya genel bir bakış açısı sunulmuştur. Daha sonra GGD’nin potansiyel klinik kullanımlarının değerlendirilmesiyle ilgili çalışmalarla ilgili sorular ve etik konular tartışılmıştır. Özellikle kabul edilebilir güvenlik eşiği, insan GGD’sindeki mevcut teknik engeller, deneylerde kullanılan insan embriyolarının yok edilmesi, yumurta donörlerinin katılımı ve araştırma katılımcılarının numuneleri üzerinde gerçekleştirilen genomik dizilemeyle ilgili sorunları değerlendirdik.
