The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into nursing care, education, and management is comprehensively examined within the context of its historical development, ethical-legal dimensions, and relationship with emerging digital technologies like the metaverse. In contemporary healthcare, AI stands out as an important tool that reduces the workload of nurses and saves time in areas that do not require direct interaction, such as supporting clinical decision-making processes, identifying patients with a history of falls, risk detection, and individualized evidence-based care planning. In the field of education, AI-supported simulation-based learning and virtual materials enhance academic performance and engagement by offering students flexible and practical application opportunities away from real-world dangers. The metaverse, which is the intersection of AI, augmented reality, and virtual reality, opens up non-pausable, sustainable new experiential domains in healthcare management and nursing education. Nevertheless, it is stated that no developed technology can be more ethical than human intelligence or replace experienced healthcare professionals. Warnings are issued that serious legal and ethical issues, such as respect for human dignity, privacy, the principle of non-maleficence, and social isolation, may arise, particularly in the long-term use of companion robots. In conclusion, it is argued that direct patient care cannot be fully delegated to AI, and it must be integrated with the guidance of practical handbooks in a manner that does not violate the core human and ethical values of nursing.
