Leadership is a process of influencing individuals to achieve group goals and has been addressed throughout time through various leadership styles such as transformational, bureaucratic, charismatic, task- or employee-oriented, servant, and autocratic leadership. Emerging in the literature since the 2000s, inclusive leadership is a participatory approach that incorporates employees into decision-making mechanisms by providing a sincere and open communication environment where they can freely share their ideas and values. Inclusive leaders analyze individual differences within the team and build bridges between them to prevent organizational conflicts; through such a safe climate, they enhance employees' organizational sense of belonging, trust, work engagement, and motivation levels. Conceptualized by Carmeli and colleagues through the dimensions of openness, availability, and accessibility, this model differs from transformational leadership, delegation of authority, and servant leadership by the leader's ability to adapt their vision based on team feedback and elevate the team as a whole. Empirical research in the literature demonstrates that inclusive leadership shares significant and positive relationships with innovative employee behavior, psychological empowerment, employee well-being, and project success. Subject to a limited number of studies in Turkey so far, inclusive leadership plays a strategic role in maximizing employee performance and productivity by fostering an inclusive organizational climate and perception of organizational justice.
