Tıbbi Sekreterlikte Ergonomi
Özet
Tıbbi sekreterlik mesleği, teknolojik gelişmelerle birlikte bilgisayar kullanımının yoğunlaştığı bir alan haline gelmiştir. Bu durum iş hızı ve kalitesini artırsa da uzun süre sürdürülen sabit duruşlar, tekrarlayan el hareketleri ve yüksek çalışma temposu gibi faktörler, çalışanlarda ciddi kas-iskelet sistemi bozukluklarına (KİSB) zemin hazırlamaktadır. Ergonomi; iş yerini, donanımları ve çalışma ortamını insanın fiziksel ve zihinsel sınırlılıkları ile yeteneklerine uygun hale getirerek bu yaralanmaları önlemeyi ve konforu artırmayı amaçlar. Tıbbi sekreterler arasında ekran başında geçirilen sürenin uzunluğu ve mesleğin çoğunlukla kadınlar tarafından icra edilmesi nedeniyle omuz, boyun, bel ağrıları ve karpal tünel sendromu gibi şikayetler oldukça yaygındır. Ofis ortamında risk oluşturan unsurlar fiziksel (monitör, klavye, masa ve koltuk tasarımı), çevresel (gürültü, termal konfor, aydınlatma) ve psikolojik (çalışan, iş ve kurum yapısı kaynaklı stresörler) olmak üzere üç kategoride incelenir. Donanımların ergonomik ilkelere göre ayarlanması, uygun mola düzeninin proaktif bir şekilde uygulanması ve ergonomi eğitimlerinin verilmesi, tıbbi sekreterlerin sağlığını ve yaşam kalitesini korurken kurumsal iş performansını ve üretkenliği de optimize etmektedir.
The medical secretarial profession has become a field where computer use is highly intensified in parallel with technological advancements. Although this paradigm shift contributes significantly to quality and speed, work-related factors such as prolonged static postures, repetitive hand movements, and a high work pace predispose employees to severe musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Ergonomics aims to mitigate these physical hazards and enhance overall comfort by design optimization, precisely aligning the workplace, equipment, and environmental systems with human physical and cognitive capacities. Due to extensive screen exposure and the demographic predominance of female professionals in this sector, occupational complaints including shoulder, neck, back pain, and carpal tunnel syndrome are exceptionally prevalent among medical secretaries. Ergonomic risk factors in the office environment are systematically categorized into physical (monitor, keyboard, desk, and seating configurations), environmental (noise, thermal comfort, and illumination metrics), and psychological (employee, job, and organizational stressors) dimensions. Proactively implementing ergonomic adjustments to workstations, integrating active rest breaks, and deploying comprehensive training protocols directly prevent occupational injuries, thereby optimizing institutional productivity and safeguarding individual life quality.
