Hydrocephalus is a serious condition common in pediatrics, characterized by the enlargement of the ventricular system and increased intracranial pressure due to the disruption of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) physiology. Diagnosis is established through radiological imaging (US, CT, MRI) and clinical evaluation, with the condition developing from various congenital or acquired causes. The treatment process is managed according to the underlying cause and the patient's condition, typically involving surgical shunt procedures or endoscopic third ventriculostomy (ETV).
