Özet
Kraniosinostoz, kranial sütürlerin erken füzyonu sonucu gelişen, kafatası şekil bozukluğuna ve ciddi vakalarda intrakraniyal basınç artışına yol açabilen gelişimsel bir anomalidir. Tanı klinik değerlendirme ve radyolojik görüntüleme (özellikle 3D BT ve MRG) yöntemleri ile konulurken, tedavi stratejileri hastanın yaşına, sendromik varlığına ve deformitenin şiddetine göre endoskopik veya açık cerrahi müdahaleler arasında değişiklik gösterir. Pozisyonel kafatası şekil bozuklukları ise kraniosinostozdan farklı olarak genellikle konservatif yöntemlerle yönetilen kozmetik bir durumdur.
Craniosynostosis is a developmental anomaly caused by the premature fusion of cranial sutures, which can lead to skull deformity and, in severe cases, increased intracranial pressure. Diagnosis is established through clinical assessment and radiological imaging (particularly 3D CT and MRI), while treatment strategies vary between endoscopic or open surgical interventions based on the patient's age, syndromic status, and severity of deformity. Unlike craniosynostosis, positional skull deformities are generally a cosmetic condition managed with conservative measures.
