Uyarılmış Potansiyeller, Olay İlişkili Potansiyeller ve Magnetoensefalografi
Özet
Uyarılmış potansiyeller (UP), merkezi sinir sisteminin dış uyarılara verdiği elektriksel yanıtların kaydedilerek nörolojik fonksiyonların objektif olarak değerlendirilmesini sağlayan bir yöntemdir. Klinik pratikte görsel (VEP), somatosensöriyel (SEP), işitsel (BAEP) ve motor (MEP) gibi farklı modaliteler kullanılarak çeşitli nörolojik hastalıkların tanı, lokalizasyon ve prognoz takibinde kritik bilgiler elde edilir. Buna ek olarak, kognitif süreçleri değerlendiren olay ilişkili potansiyeller (OİP) ve manyetik alan ölçümü yapan magnetoensefalografi (MEG), nörolojik teşhis süreçlerinde kullanılan tamamlayıcı ileri tekniklerdir.
Evoked potentials (EP) are objective electrophysiological methods that record central nervous system responses to external stimuli to evaluate neurological function. Clinical practice utilizes various modalities, such as visual (VEP), somatosensory (SEP), auditory (BAEP), and motor (MEP) potentials, to assist in the diagnosis, localization, and prognostic monitoring of neurological disorders. Additionally, event-related potentials (ERP), which reflect cognitive processes, and magnetoencephalography (MEG), which measures magnetic fields, serve as advanced complementary techniques for comprehensive neurological evaluation.
