Electroneuromyography (ENMG) is an essential electrophysiological method used to evaluate the electrical activity of motor units and muscle fibers in the diagnosis and monitoring of peripheral nerve and muscle disorders. By analyzing functional impairments through localization, severity, and pathological processes, it provides guidance for the differential diagnosis of myopathies, neuropathies, and neuromuscular junction diseases. However, ENMG is not a definitive diagnostic tool on its own and serves as a meaningful complement only when integrated with the patient's clinical presentation and neurological examination. Careful assessment of technical procedures and the correlation between findings and clinical status are crucial to avoid diagnostic errors.
