Genital Sistem Hastalıkları
Özet
At herpesvirus tip -1 ve 3, atlarda genital sistem enfeksiyona neden olan önemli viral etkenlerin başında gelmektedir. Dünya genelinde yaygın olarak görülen bu viruslar hem at sağlığını tehdit etmekte hem de abortlar ile yavru kaybına yol açarak atçılık sektöründe önemli ekonomik kayıplara neden olmaktadırlar. EHV-1 ve EHV-3, Orthoherpesviridae ailesi içinde, Alphaherpesvirinae alt ailesinde,Varicellovirus cinsinde yer alır. EHV-1’ in meydana getirdiği enfeksiyon tablosu solunum yolu hastalığı, abort, yenidoğan tay ölümleri ve miyelensefalopati gibi sendromlardan sorumludur. EHV-3 ise atların çiftleşme egzantemi olarak bilinir ve genital yolla bulaşarak aborta neden olan bir klinik tablodan sorumludur. Dünya genelinde yaygın olarak görülen bu etkenlerin, ülkemizdeki durumu hakkındaki çalışmalar son dönemde artış göstermiştir. Bu bölüm içinde bu etkenlerin neden olduğu hastalık tablosu hakkında geniş bilgiye yer verilmiştir.
