Bu kitap, Soner Akgün tarafından yazılan \"Hareket Eğitimi ve İmgelemenin Motor Gelişime Etkisi\" adlı çalışmanın bir ürünüdür. Kitap, okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında 4-6 yaş grubundaki çocukların motor gelişimine hareket eğitimi ve imgelemenin etkisini araştırmaktadır. Okul öncesi dönemin çocukların en hızlı gelişim gösterdiği dönem olduğu bilinmektedir ve bu dönemde çocukların kapasitelerini en üst düzeyde geliştirebilmeleri için uygun eğitim programlarına ihtiyaç vardır. Bu çalışma, hareket eğitiminin okul öncesi eğitimin bir parçası haline getirilmesi gerektiğini vurgulamaktadır. Araştırma sonuçlarının alana katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. Kitap, Prof. Dr. Hamit Cihan'ın danışmanlığında yürütülen Soner Akgün'ün yüksek lisans tezinden üretilmiştir.
