Farklı Nesillerde Tesettür Algısı

Bu kitap, farklı nesiller arasında tesettür algısının nasıl değiştiğini incelemektedir. Türkiye'de muhafazakâr tabanda yaşanan değişimin bir parçası olan tesettür algısının zaman içinde nasıl modernleştiği ve farklı nesiller arasında nasıl farklılaştığı ele alınmaktadır. Kitap, literatür taraması ve kuramsal çerçeve oluşturmasının ardından nitel bir araştırma ile desteklenmektedir. Altı aileden üç nesil toplamda 18 kişiyle yapılan yarı-yapılandırılmış görüşmeler sonucunda tesettür algısının değişimi çok yönlü faktörlerle incelenmektedir. Bu çalışma, Türkiye'de uzun yıllar tartışılan ve çalışılan bir konu olan tesettür kavramı ve tesettürlü kadının toplumsal pratiklerini sosyolojik olarak derinlemesine ele almaktadır.

This book examines how the perception of hijab (veiling) has changed among different generations. It explores how the perception of hijab, which is part of the conservative base in Turkey, has modernized over time and how it differs among different generations. The book is supported by a qualitative research study conducted after a literature review and theoretical framework. The change in the perception of hijab is examined through multidimensional factors based on semi-structured interviews with a total of 18 individuals from six families spanning three generations. This study provides an in-depth sociological analysis of the concept of hijab and the social practices of veiled women, which has been a subject of debate and research in Turkey for many years.
