This chapter explores the impact of digital transformation on pediatric nursing practice, professional roles, and family involvement in child healthcare. Advances in healthcare technologies have accelerated the transition from traditional reactive care to data-driven, predictive, and proactive care models. Wearable sensors, continuous monitoring systems, artificial intelligence–supported clinical decision support tools, and telehealth applications contribute to the early identification of clinical deterioration and enhancement of patient safety in pediatric settings. The chapter highlights digital health literacy as an essential competency for both pediatric nurses and families. While increased access to digital health information supports greater parental participation in healthcare decisions, it also creates challenges such as misinformation and cyberchondria. Consequently, pediatric nurses are expected to assume the role of “digital navigators,” guiding families toward reliable information sources and supporting informed decision-making. In addition, contemporary issues including data privacy, ethical responsibilities, alarm fatigue, change management, and innovation culture are discussed. The chapter emphasizes that successful digital transformation depends not only on technological advancements but also on preserving the core values of nursing, such as empathy, therapeutic communication, and family-centered care. Integrating technology with humanistic care is presented as a key requirement for the future of pediatric nursing.
