Sinir Sistemi (Systema Nervosum)
In this chapter, the anatomical structure, cellular components, and functional organization of the nervous system are comprehensively discussed. The text examines the nervous system by dividing it into two main sections: the Central Nervous System (CNS) and the Peripheral Nervous System (PNS). Cellular Structure: The anatomy of neurons (soma, dendrite, axon), which are the fundamental building blocks of the nervous system, and their roles in impulse transmission are detailed. Furthermore, the functions of glial cells (astrocytes, oligodendrocytes, microglia, etc.), which provide support to neurons and are more numerous, are addressed. Central Nervous System (CNS): The structure of the brain (encephalon) and spinal cord (medulla spinalis), the membranes protecting these structures (meninges), and the importance of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) are explained. The divisions of the brain (telencephalon, diencephalon, brainstem, and cerebellum) are analyzed from a functional perspective. Peripheral Nervous System (PNS): The organization of cranial nerves (Nervi craniales) and spinal nerves (Nervi spinales) is presented along with sensory and motor conduction pathways. Autonomic Nervous System: The antagonistic effects of the Sympathetic and Parasympathetic systems, which regulate involuntary body functions, on homeostasis and the autonomous structure of the Enteric Nervous System within the digestive system are emphasized. Clinical and Applied Anatomy: Mechanisms such as nerve plexuses, significant nerve lines (e.g., Nervus ischiadicus), and the reflex arc are explained within the context of the organism's process of adaptation and response to the environment.
