Bebeklik Döneminde Sosyal Duygusal Gelişim
Özet
Sosyal-duygusal gelişim, duyguları tanıma, ifade edebilme, duygu düzenleme, başkalarının duygularını anlama ve sağlıklı ilişkiler kurabilme becerilerini kapsayan ve bebeklik döneminin önemli gelişim alanlarından birisidir. Bu becerilerin gelişiminde empati, öz-farkındalık, benlik gelişimi gibi kavramlarda öne çıkmaktadır. Bebeklik döneminde başkalarıyla etkileşim yoluyla güven, bağlılık, duygusal düzenleme ve benlik farkındalığı gibi temel sosyal-duygusal basamaklardan geçerler. Dolayısıyla, bu gelişim alanı yalnızca duygularla değil, aynı zamanda sosyal kimliğin, kişilik yapısının ve psikolojik sağlığın oluşumu ile de doğrudan ilişkilidir. Sosyal-duygusal gelişim, bebeklikte kendiliğinden değil, çevresel etkileşimlerle şekillenmektedir. Doğumdan iki yaşına kadar olan bu dönemde temel duygular olan mutluluk, öfke, korku, şaşkınlık ve üzüntü gibi ifadeleri hem deneyimlemeye hem de başkalarının yüz ifadelerinden ayırt etmeye başlar. Bu süreçler, çocuğun empati, duygusal anlayış ve sosyal becerilerinin temelini oluşturarak yaşamın ileriki dönemlerini şekillendirmektedir. Gelişim kuramları bebeklik döneminin kişilik gelişimi için önemini vurgulamaktadır. Erikson, Freud, Bowlby gibi kuramcılara göre bu dönemde oluşması beklenen güven duygusunu ve haz duygusunun doyurulmasının yetişkin yaşamdaki ilişkilerde belirleyici rol oynamaktadır. Sosyal-duygusal gelişimin desteklenmesinde olumlu bir ebeveyn -çocuk ilişkisi, kapsayıcı ve geliştirici öğrenme imkanları, güven ve sevgi ortamı önem kazanmaktadır.
