Edmonton ve Groningen Kırılganlık Ölçekleri

Özet

Kırılganlık yaşlanma ile birlikte fizyolojik rezervlerin azalması sonucu stresörlere karşı vücudun uyum sağlama kapasitesinin düşmesiyle ortaya çıkan, artmış bağımlılık ve olumsuz sağlık sonuçları ile ilişkilendirilen bir klinik durumdur. Kırılganlık farklı modeller ile tanımlanabilmekle birlikte, kırılganlığın taranmasıyla yüksek risk altındaki hastaların tespit edilerek olumsuz sonuçların önüne geçilebilir. Edmonton Kırılganlık Ölçeği hem yatan, hem de ayaktan hastalara kolaylıkla ve hızlıca uygulanabilen pratik bir ölçektir. Groningen Kırılganlık Ölçeği hem toplumda hem de bakımevinde yaşayan yaşlı yetişkinlerde kırılganlığın tanınması için geçerli ve güvenilir bir araçtır.
