Yoksulluk ve Sosyal Yardım Hizmetleri
Özet
Yoksulluk, dünya genelinde yaşanan en önemli sosyal sorunlardan biridir. Refah devletlerinin yoksullukla mücadelede kullandığı sosyal politika araçları sosyal yardım programların geliştirilmesi ve bu hizmetlerin toplumun tüm kesimlerine ulaştırılmasıdır. Dünyanın hemen hemen her bölgesinde sosyal hizmet uzmanları yoksulluğu ve diğer sosyal eşitsizlik türlerini sona erdirmeye çalışmakta, yoksul birey ve aileler için sosyal adaleti ve değişimi teşvik etmeye yönelik mesleki müdahalelerde bulunmaktadırlar.
Sosyal hizmetin yoksulluk alanına ilişkin bu bölümde ilk olarak, yoksulluk tanımları, türleri, belirleyicileri, nedenleri açıklanmıştır. İkinci kısımda sosyal yardımlar, sosyal refah ve sosyal refah devleti modelleri, sosyal yardım türleri, Türkiye’de sosyal yardım hizmetlerine değinilmiştir. Son kısımda yoksulluk alanında sosyal hizmet mesleği ele alınmıştır.
