Bu kitap, Osmaniye şehrinin coğrafyasını ele alan bir çalışmadır. Osmaniye, Osmanlı Devleti'nin son dönemlerinde kurulan ve Cumhuriyet döneminde gelişen bir il merkezidir. Şehrin konumu ve coğrafi özellikleri, gelişimini etkileyen önemli faktörlerdir. Bu kitap, Osmaniye'nin fiziki coğrafya faktörlerini, kuruluş ve gelişimini, nüfus özelliklerini, ekonomisini, sosyal ve kültürel yapısını detaylı bir şekilde ele almaktadır. Bu çalışma, Marmara Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Coğrafya Anabilim dalında yürütülen bir doktora tezinin kitap haline getirilmesiyle oluşturulmuştur. This book is a study that focuses on the geography of the city of Osmaniye. Osmaniye is a provincial center that was established in the late period of the Ottoman Empire and developed during the Republican era. The location and geographical features of the city are important factors that have influenced its development. This book extensively examines the physical geography factors of Osmaniye, its establishment and development, population characteristics, economy, and social and cultural structure. This work has been created by turning a doctoral thesis conducted in the Department of Geography at Marmara University's Institute of Social Sciences into a book.
