Bu kitap, \"Profesyonel futbol kulüplerinde transferden sorumlu kişilerin, transfer esnasında kullandıkları müzakere teknikleri incelenmesi\" başlıklı bir yüksek lisans tezinden türetilmiştir. Yazar, futbol transferlerinde kullanılan müzakere tekniklerinin önemini vurgulamakta ve sürecin para değil, insanlar ve süreç olduğunu ele almaktadır. Kitap, Stuart Diamond'ın müzakere sürecinin ve insanların maddeden (para) daha önemli olduğunu belirttiği bilgisini desteklemektedir. Türkiye'de müzakere üzerine yapılan çalışmaların sayısı az olduğu ve futbol sektöründe bu alanda herhangi bir çalışmaya rastlanılmadığı belirtilmektedir. Bu çalışma, literatüre katkı sağlamayı ve futbol kulüplerinde transferden sorumlu kişilerin bakış açılarını genişletmeyi amaçlamaktadır.
